THE MILLING LEGACY BEGINS

The Jordans family, who had been farmers up until this time, move into flour milling at Eaton Ford.

THE NEW 'HOLME'

The aptly named Holme Mills, the home of Jordans cereals, was bought at auction by the Jordans family.

1899

FIRE STRIKES TWICE

Two big fires in 1894 and 1899 virtually gutted the mill, but led to a major rebuild and brought about the change from traditional stone milling to metal roller mills.

MILLER FINED FOR 'NIPPING' WRONG WAY

William Jordan was fined for going the wrong way up a one way street 'to catch a train'!

Bill Jordan starts touring as drummer in rock & blues band which takes him to the USA where he came face to face with the deliciously oaty cereal, Granola.

Bill brought back some of the fabulous granola and along with his brother David, they set about on a mission to convert Britain to whole grain granola goodness.

Bill and David took over the family Mill and turned to wholewheat flours and breakfast cereals.
