I love this product but Tesco and Sainsburys dont sell it - in Ashford, Kent. I did ask at Sainsburys and they said they don't stock it anymore and Tesco think that wheat bran is the same as wheatgerm - how ignorant!! I am not a Waitrose person but I will go there to check. We dont have a Morrisons near here. Are there other shops that sell it? Please help as I miss this product. THANKS
I love this wheatgerm for it's sweet nutty taste but Sainsbury's don't sell it anymore. What a shame!
I have used Jordans wheatgerm for years but I am now wondering if I should continue with this in case too much vitamn E could be dangerous. I should be glad to have your comments
Give wheatgerm a chance! It's a vitamin-packed superfood, but not one of the flashy, cool ones like blueberries, it's just quietly sitting there, waiting to improve your breakfast. Add a few tablespoons to your cereal or porridge, bread or cookie dough or chuck a teaspoon into a smoothie. You can't really taste it in the finished product, but it'll make you feel a little more virtuous. And considering that it's so inexpensive, you'll feel thrifty and clever too!
I LOVE wheat germ. I add it to homemade breads. It gives the bread a wonderful sweetness and packs in the fibre. I also use it in place of breadcrumbs in croquette and patty recipes.
