Wonder Stuff - the many uses of honey

Posted by Rachel Marston 21 Apr 2009 1:20pm

Lots of you have been e mailing us about The Big Buzz and many of the messages have been very useful, take the one below from Polly Salt who like me thinks honey is a natural wonder, read on to find out more, and let us know if you have any honey related pearls of wisdom...

Hi, first of all just let me say how much I enjoy Jordans Frusli and Jordans Muesli its been a long time since I have enjoyed breakfast so much.
I am currently doing a VQ (Vocational Qualification) in MRSA and one of the modules asks about the use of honey in treating the virus, I am aware that honey was used in the past to treat various conditions but wondered if you knew of the use of honey in the treatment of MRSA and how it works.
My son has honey with lavender to help with his hay fever and it seems to work very well and my son is happy with this as he is reluctant to use tablets/medicines to control it.
Maybe we have gone full circle and now realise the value of natural remedies.
