Have You Seen Any Bees?

Posted by Rachel Marston 26 Mar 2009 10:08am

I have spotted the first bumblebee of the year in my garden, now the spring flowers are out the bees are beginning to appear. This one was showing a lot of interest in my crocuses and daffodils.

Bees are very special to us at Jordans, they have been the symbol of Jordans Nature-Friendly Conservation Grade® farming scheme for many years. Our farmers help wildlife like bees by putting ten per cent of their land into conservation projects which means wildlife like bees have the right habitats to thrive. So when I spotted the bee in my garden I was very pleased because it shows I have some of the right bee-friendly plants they need to come and visit. So what we want to know is if you have seen any bees in your garden? Which plants were they most interested in? We have more bee news coming soon, watch this space.
