Visit Our Bee Discovery Centres
Posted by Rachel Marston 01 Jun 2009 1:02pm
On Friday I went to visit Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, owned by Bill and Deb Jordan and home to one of our new 'Bee Discovery Centres'. These centres have been designed as part of The Big Buzz and we hope they will help educate people about bees and why they need our help. At Pensthorpe the Bee Discovery Centre is in the Old School Room, but there are two others, one in the Climbers and Creepers area at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and one at BuzzWorks, Hitchin's communicty bee garden. The centres were inspired by the work which is being done at BuzzWorks by local beekeeper and enthusiast Robin Dartington and his team of hard working volunteers. You can visit our 'Bee Discovery Centres' at Pensthorpe and Kew within normal opening hours but because BuzzWorks is manned by volunteers you need to make an appointment, so get in touch with us and we will help set up a visit for you.

Yes Barbara is right, thank you to all those who have helped out with setting the Bee Discovery centres out, and will continue to help in the running of them.
we must thank all the volunteers - where would be without them or without our bees?
