Hello From Us
What's the weather like in Biggleswade?

Come rain or shine if you ever want to see what the weather is like in Biggleswade then have a look at the top right hand page of our website. Today the clouds are zooming past our little tractor busily plouging away. Sitting watching him makes me want to go outside, as we did yesterday lunchtime when we managed to enjoy the last few rays of summer at our local pub. Fingers crossed the sun stays all weekend too.
Here's a little taste of what we're about...

Never mind the weather, what about the smell? I lived in Biggleswade around 1969/70 and recall that from around this time of year there was an overpowering smell of brussels sprouts. I even ended up liking them - but not for breakfast!
I am going to ask Mrs Jordan about the Diggle family, I am sure she will remember who they are!
Hello. Any mention of Jordans has happy associations for me. After I graduated in 1981, I took a summer job as a cook/housekeeper at Orchard house with the Diggle family. One day stands out as I remember going along with Mrs Diggle to help out with the preparations for a charity fashion show in the village; where she introduced me to Mrs Jordan (but I had never heard of Jordans at this point in my life)! Now I make a point of buying Jordans, of course, and I always say "I met THE Mrs Jordan"! It was a great way to meet people in the community and I always think of The Diggles and Biggleswade with affection.
