Lundy Island gets in the zone

Posted by Rachel Marston 12 Jan 2010 9:25am

Applause for the news that the first marine conservation zone in the UK has been set up in the waters around Lundy Island, just off the Devon coast. Lundy Island is home to a variety of wildlife including grey seals, lobsters and corals. Thanks to the 2009 Marine Act a network of these zones will be set up around the UK to help protect wildlife.

Wow could quite easily be stood there with the wind in my hair, listening to the waves breaking on the beach, if I close my eyes tight enough & really consentrate long & hard I might even be able to smell the sea air. If only..........back to reality the great sights of the urban jungle, concrete & kebabs!!!!!
